NHPC has issued a tender to develop about 2.56 MW of rooftop solar power projects across various government buildings in Nagaland.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems, along with securing grid connectivity and necessary permits, including net-metering approvals.

The selected bidder will also be accountable for the operation and maintenance of the systems.

The last date for bid submission is July 11 and bids will be opened on July 13. Interested bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs.2.5 million and a non-refundable document fee of Rs. 5,000. The project mandates the use of ALMM-approved solar modules of 500 W or higher capacity.

To succeed, bidders must have commissioned at least 400 kW of grid-connected solar projects (including one of at least 40 kW), or have relevant infrastructure experience valued at a minimum of Rs.40 million.

Monetarily, bidders must prove an average annual turnover of Rs.50.9 million over the last three years, maintain a positive net worth, and own a minimum working capital of Rs.28.3 million.

The project is predictable to be completed within nine months from the date of award and is aligned with India’s broader renewable energy targets, including schemes like the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
