95 percent of students from NESC got placed overseas

Guwahati: North East Skill Centre (NESC) under Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) on 24th February organised an interactive session with Jayanta Mallabaruah, Minister of PHE, Skill Development Employment & Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Govt. of Assam and overseas students and outgoing students of North East Skill Centre at Assam Skill Development Mission Office.

Jayanta Mallabaruah said, while addressing the media informs that 95 percent students have been placed and are majority from hospitality sector.

We are aiming to reach the 100 percent target in no time. And we are on a mission to provide employment to 10,000 people on a monthly basis in next five years and skill to 2 lakh people, said Jayanta Mallabaruah.

Her further mentioned that their department is focused at skill development and make this a skill developed region.

The students from NESC have been placed at Bahrain and Dubai.

Further, speaking to business-northeast he mentions about the Indi Global Bharat Summit which also primarily focused on skilled development an entrepreneurship in support with the government of Assam.
