Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh government will soon develop a strategy to encourage and reward new start-ups and projects in the state. It was recently stated in an official statement by the Arunachal Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein.

Mein believes that young people will be able to create jobs rather than seek them.

Mein estimates that the programmes will help at least 500 young entrepreneurs in a year. According to Dy CM, the scheme has received additional funding.

According to an official communique, the allocation for the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swavlamban Yojana has been increased from Rs 40 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 50 crore in 2022-23, while the allocation for the Chief Minister Paryatan Yojana has been increased from Rs 4 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 8 crore in 2022-23. The 'Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swalamban Yojana' encourages unemployed youth to gain access to low-cost capital for entrepreneurship, while the 'Chief Minister Paryatan Vikas Yojana' provides unemployed youths with a subsidy of up to Rs 5 lakh to open a restaurant, run a tour operator agency, establish hotels, homestays, and purchase adventure equipment.

As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' festivities, the deputy chief minister also launched a 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' (government at your doorsteps) complex at Lekang circle in the Namsai district.
