Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has a huge scope for growth in agriculture, horticulture and tourism sectors, said Governor KT Parnaik. He also urged the people to engage themselves in these sectors.

During his tour of the Lower Subansiri district, the Governor highlighted the Centre’s focus on the North East region, particularly Arunachal Pradesh. He mentioned that numerous development programmes and projects are in the pipeline for the coming years.

The Governor interacted with the people of Yazali and neighbouring villages to understand their concerns and issues. In Ziro, he engaged with district heads of departments to review various developmental programs, schemes, and projects at the district secretariat.

Appreciating the ‘Seva Aap Ke Dwar’ initiative, the governor called upon district officers to connect with the people, address their challenges, and actively resolve their issues. He emphasised that the responsibility of running the district efficiently lies with the officers, and their success will be measured by the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.

The governor also encouraged departmental automation to ensure proper record-keeping, analysis of departmental data, and strategic planning accordingly.
