Arunachal RD Minister directs early release of PMAY-G funds

Guwahati: The Arunachal Pradesh Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Bamang Felix on August 7 directed officials of the department to guarantee that funds under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Grameen (PMAY-G) will be released to the beneficiaries as soon as possible.

Reviewing all central schemes under the Rural Development and Panchayat departments here, Felix said PMAY-G should reach saturation status by November 31 this year.

The minister further directed the officers to ensure timely payment to the beneficiaries of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005. It is also maintained that 100 per cent Aadhaar seeding and mapping of MGREGA be completed by the end of this month.

Felix assured all possible assistance to them wherever required. Emphasising the importance of having a Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), he said the Panchayati Raj department must take it as their responsibility to ensure that meetings are held for finalising GPDP.
