Assam-based auto manufacturing company brings in an electric good carrier

Guwahati: Assam-based auto manufacturing company Kumar Engineering today introduced an electric three-wheeler goods carrier, with the base model 'Kumar' having a gross vehicle weight of 756 kg and 1.42 KWs of power at 1500 rpm.

Former Ambassador Deepak Vohra, now a Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, who was present during the launch ceremony, said that the company has introduced this product after taking I-CAT approval from the Government of India.

The vehicle is capable of carrying a 310-kg load and has a range of 100 km in one charge of 4 hours. The vehicle has a 1-year warranty.

The "world-class product" will be sold in Assam at the MSP of Rs 1,99,888, from the 18 sales and service outlets across the State.

Company officials said that they are very much hopeful of achieving a 25-35% market share in the goods carrier segment in Assam within this current financial year.

Managing Director Kuniar Gaurav was also present on the occasion, along with CEO Ashok Bhattacharjee.
