As Assam gears up to hoist 80 lakh flags from August 13 to 15, celebrating 75 years of India's Independence, the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board has been producing the National Tricolor to meet the demands.
The Board has already produced over 30,000 flags amounting to over Rs. 90 lakhs. The workers have been working extra hours to meet the high demands under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The Board Chairperson informed that they are expecting orders from government agencies and other organisations till August 13 and urged even the citizens to procure the authentic Khadi flag over flags made of other materials.
