Doomdooma: On Tuesday, 3rd August 2021, a Sub-Divisional Development Committee meeting was held at the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Margherita.

The meeting chaired by the ADC I/C of Margherita, Palash Rajkumar Ahom, was attended by the officials and representatives of various government departments to make a monthly assessment of all developmental works undertaken by the various departments in the Margherita subdivision.

During the assessment meeting, ADC I/C discussed the targets, completion, and issues faced on the implementation of schemes given to various departments.
About Food & Civil supplies department, proper dissemination of information of the price of food materials was asserted, and was advised to put up scheme and price banners in front of all fair price shops.

Also, the APDCL under Saubhagya Scheme asked to expedite the work for inhabitants in the Tipong area for electrification. Further, PWD work progress like the construction and designing of the Sahitya Sabha building was reviewed along with the opening of schools in tea gardens and renovation work of heritage buildings.

Moreover, ADC I/C has asked the other departments to activate all the schemes, so that mega missions like construction, employment are accomplished within the targeted time.

It was however advised by ADC I/C that all the departments should work in the standard convergence model to achieve the developmental works of Margherita.
