Guwahati: The Baroda BNP Paribas Flexi Cap Fund, a dynamic equity programme with the ability to invest across market caps, has been introduced by Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund. The goal of the fund is to build long-term wealth by investing primarily in equities and securities that are connected to equity by focusing on recognising investment opportunities across sectors and market capitalizations.

The NFO is available for subscription from 25th July to 5th August 2022. The fund will be managed by Sanjay Chawla, Chief Investment Officer – Equity, Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management India Private Limited (formerly BNP Paribas Asset Management India Private Limited).

We live in an ever-evolving world, said Suresh Soni, CEO of Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management India Private Limited, in response to the introduction of the fund. Equity markets reflect this; as the economy and businesses change, so do the best-performing firms, industries, and market capitalization.

Therefore, while managing portfolios, fund managers should be aware of and use a flexible investment technique. In this approach, Flexi Cap funds can provide exposure across market capitalization and sectors, enabling fund managers to optimise the portfolio in accordance with the current state of the market, values, and potential future growth. As a result, Flexi Cap funds are an all-encompassing equity solution that can be used by a range of investors and in all market scenarios.

The investment strategy used by the plan is a three-pronged one. a bottom-up method for choosing stocks, a top-down method for choosing market caps, and a combination of all three.

"The ability to look for possibilities across market capitalization and industries may help the plan take advantage of those areas' development potential and reduce risk by diversifying.

The initiative aims to find businesses with solid financial and business foundations, reputable management, and promising long-term development potential, according to our equity investing philosophy, added Sanjay.

Within five business days following the date of allocation, Baroda BNP Paribas Flexi Cap Fund will reopen for continued subscriptions.
