Udalguri: A 100 crore package for the development of Udalguri town has been announced by the BTC Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro.

In a meeting addressed by Pramod Boro at the Udalguri Municipality Board Auditorium, stated the infrastructure development of Udalguri and Tangla colleges. Each of the colleges will have a campus of Bodoland University, while an organic university at Rowta, an NIT and an engineering college at Udalguri, a tribal university at Bhairabkunda, a BEd college, and a District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) at Udalguri are all on plans.

Also, the administration is soon going to appoint 850 teachers strictly on a merit basis and these processes will be very transparent, assured Pramod Boro.

Various action plans will be drawn up to solve any issues on a priority basis while the council has researched and studied about the people.

The BTC Chief even added that he visits three economically weaker households to understand their issues and suggests the same to the other council members.
