Central Govt. Employees to get a hike in DA: Revised Salary July onwards

New Delhi: From July 1, the Central Government employees will get a revised salary. The employees have been waiting eagerly for a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA).

An increment of salary will be seen soon in the accounts of millions of Central Government employees and pensioners from 1st July onwards.

The stalled Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness  Relief (DR) will resume from July 1, since it was withheld by the government, the last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

According to the All-India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) data release, DA shall start increasing by 4 percent between January and June 2021.

After the DA gets restored, the DA of Central Government employees may further increase from 17 to 28% which shows a 3% increment from January - June 2020, a 4% increase between July -December 2020, and a 4% growth from January- June 2020.

After the decision to reinstate the DA from July 2021, 50 lakh Central Government employees and above 65 lakh pensioners will get befitted. Yet the revised DA will be applicable only from July onwards. No arrears would be provided for the previous period.
