Digital Platform launched for Farmers in Manipur

Imphal: A digitalized platform has been formally launched in Manipur on 18 July 2021, for the farmers to connect them with the agricultural experts during the pandemic times, to address and identify the problems faced by the farmer’s community in Manipur.

During the launch of this website –, Farming Alternatives and Resilience Management Schools (FARMS) Managing Director, Dr. Senjam Jinus stated this website is created with a noble objective to help the farmers identify and address their maladies.
The main vision of the website is to bring alternative smart farming and resilience strategies in the traditional farming methods and aid to the secured food chain of Manipur.

With a better innovative approach that can sustain smart farming, livestock, fisheries, and aquaculture sector in Manipur, the website had to combine agricultural expertise for better achievement.

During the launching event Manipur Development Society Chairman, M Asnikumar, phytopathologist Dr. M Thoithoi Singh, Project Officer of Agriculture Dept. Kh Nimaichand Singh, Instruction Directorate, Central Agricultural University, Imphal’s deputy director Dr. Y Bedajit Singh were also present.
