Guwahati: Starting today, a three-day expo on livestock, aqua-culture, and poultry is taking place at the Maniram Dewan Trade Center in Guwahati.
The event, supported by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India.
The main focus of the expo is on livestock, aqua-culture, and fisheries, as well as poultry, meat processing, and dairying. It aims to highlight the potential of these industries in the northeast region of India.
Additionally, the expo features various technical aspects related to animal breeding and reproduction technology, husbandry and feeding technology, feed production, aquaculture and fisheries, environmental technology, processing, and packaging equipment.
During the event, Pravash Pradhan, the convener of the expo, expressed his satisfaction at organizing such an event for the first time in Guwahati. He said, "We are delighted to organize this first-of-its-kind expo for three days on Northeast Livestock-Aqua-Poultry here in Guwahati. We are confident that this expo will help to boost the livestock, aqua, and poultry industry in the northeast region."
