The Affordable Health Mission (AHM) launched on 17 August 2017 by former Hon’ble Governor of Assam, His Excellency Shri Banwarilal Purohit in Guwahati, is an initiative undertaken by GNRC Hospitals under the key leadership of visionary Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah, the Chairman and the Managing Director of GNRC, that ensures access to quality healthcare for everyone. Concentrating on the belief that denying health is unjust, inhuman, and economically enervating for society, the vision of the Affordable Health Mission is to establish the world as a better place to live by building a society where ill-health is a rarest-of-rare event and not a commonplace event - a society in which every individual experience physical, mental and social well-being.

GNRC through its Affordable Health Mission (AHM) has formulated a unique and ambitious initiative called “Swasthya Mitra”, a brainchild of Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah aimed at providing local support to the communities for preventive and primitive health.

Through the Swasthya Mitra project, GNRC is on a revolutionary mission to help and support at the earliest possible time the needy people, especially the people living below the poverty line rather than waiting for an emergency to strike them. These Swasthya Mitras have shown to be the true knight of the health of human beings.

In addition, Affordable Health Mission has certain unique facilities and initiatives that can be availed with the assistance of Swasthya Mitras.
