New Delhi: Godrej Tooling, a division of Godrej & Boyce, the parent company of the Godrej Group, has partnered with Renmakch to work on Machinery & Plant (M&P) projects for railways and metro rail, providing top-notch, "Made in India" equipment. This partnership was revealed by Godrej & Boyce, the Godrej Group's main company.
With the help of this partnership, Godrej & Boyce will be able to bid on bigger projects and provide the Railways with a full value chain, from concept to construct. Over the course of more than 15 years, the Business has earned the Indian Railways' confidence.
In order to bring the most recent technology for the rail business from Europe and other developed nations and adapt it for India, Godrej Tooling and Renmakch have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Godrej & Boyce hopes to take advantage of the Indian Railways' announcement that they will engage in new generation trains like Vande Bharat and eventually new workshops and depots by providing a complete solution to the Indian Railways. This will increase India's independence while also enhancing the efficiency, standard, and security of train and metro carriages while they are being maintained. Over the next five years, the company aims to gain a 20–30% market position in this industry. Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Abhyankar, Senior Vice President & Business Head, Godrej Tooling, said, "We are delighted to work with Renmakch to reinforce the railway network across the country in light of India's dedication to introducing new generation trains like Vande Bharat. We seek to encourage the indigenization of goods and provide turnkey solutions for significant M&P expenditures in contemporary technologies by utilising our combined assets and jointly bringing global technology from Europe and Japan.
Through this partnership, train and metro carriages will operate more quickly, more efficiently, and safely while undergoing repair. We intend working with Renmakch on a number of significant governmental initiatives for the Indian Railways and Metro Train for a very long time. The collaboration between Godrej Tooling and Renmakch will continue for ten years. The association will support the "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" efforts by creating import-alternative storage equipment.
