Guwahati International Airport to use 2D Barcode Readers to scan tickets

Guwahati: The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati (LGBIA) have installed 2D barcode readers at it's entry gate to make a quick and hassle free entry to the airport.

The CISF officers standing at the terminal entry gates will be scanning the barcodes on the tickets or boarding passes.

There will be no manual checking of the passes. The process will begin on February 3, 2023. According to the officials of LGBIA the ultimate goal is to ensure that passenger’s journey from entrance to the terminal is pleasant and quick.

The newly installed facility will not only improve security but it will also improve efficiency.

At present, the airport handles 15000 passengers daily.
