Guwahati-Dhaka air services to resume soon

Guwahati: Guwahati Dhaka Air service will soon resume, informs Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, while inaugurating the two Silchar-Sylhet Festivals sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.

Speaking at the two-day Silchar-Sylhet Festival's opening ceremony, which was hosted by the Union Ministry of Culture, Momen stated that Bangladesh always finds a true friend in India, and that the current administrations in Delhi and Dhaka have been truly trying to strengthen that relationship.

According to him, during the current administrations in both nations, interactions between the two have reached an all-time high in both the trade and commerce and cultural spheres. Momen added that since the Assistant High Commissioner's office was established in Guwahati, commercial ties between Bangladesh and Assamin in particular had grown significantly.

The two nations' shared relationship under the leadership of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi of India and Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh was also emphasised by Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and DONER G Kishan Reddy.

Governor of Mizoram Hari Babu Kambhampati and Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy both spoke during the inauguration ceremony.

On Saturday, Momen, Hari Babu, the state's Act East Policy Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, and Md. Mustafizur Rahman, Bangladesh's High Commissioner to India, will participate in a panel discussion on trade and commerce.
