IIT Guwahati to organise Research and Industrial Conclave 2023

Guwahati: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati on Thursday said that the three day long Research and Industrial Conclave 2023 will start from May 14.

Faculty Convener Dr Pratul Chandra Kalita informed the media that the conclave will start from 14-16 May.

He informed that this will be a unique platform for the students and researchers of Assam in particular and Northeast in general.

The event is expecting overall footfall will be 10,000.

It has been stated that this has been the first such industrial conclave to enhance industry academia collaboration.
The event aims at providing an exclusive platform for students, young innovators, entrepreneurs, industry experts, professionals, academicians, policy makers, investors and exhibitors to exhibit innovative ideas, knowledge base, showcasing products and services to bring out various research and development opportunities under one roof.

Student Convenor Imran Hussain informed the media about the theme of the event namely “ Green Intelligence for Sustainibility” He revealed that the green is linked to greenery of northeast. By Green Intelligence he referred to various technical and automation things going on in the agricultural sector. The event wants to promote how in the times of technological advancement how the world can sustain in a friendly environment.

The event will focus on the latest advancements in various fields such as energy, environment, transportation, healthcare, social science and agriculture with emphasis on sustainability.

The eminent institute and departmental speakers Padma Shri Professor Subhash Kak (Oklahoma State University- Stillwater). Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar awardee Dr Binoy Kumar Saikia (CSIR-NEIST), Indian theoretical physicist Dr. Abhay Vasant Ashtekar (Pennsylvania State University), Dr. Ruhul Mont (Harvard Medical School) to name a few from around the globe who will be interacting with the participants.
