The key role of the programme is to connect the buyers and sellers at the market directly and make them aware of the technicalities of the building materials.

The event was inaugurated by Jyotish Kumar Sharma, OSD to PW (Building & NH) Department, Assam Skills University, and Technical Advisor to Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati.

"We have organised this programme to benefit the people of this region and form a linkage between them and the market and work towards the development of this sector", said Indian institute of Architects Chairman, Hiranya Kumar Rajkhowa.

Over 20 stalls were placed in the exhibition. The exhibition began on 20th January 2023 and will end on 23rd January 2023.

The market here should have an exclusive collection of building materials and respective retail outlets so that they can be easily availed by the common people. The northeastern region has a huge potential for building materials. Green building materials too have a great demand in this market," said Architect Ramendra Baishya.

Through this event, they are trying to bridge the gap and encourage awareness about the construction and building materials in this region.

As intended, we are trying to bring people to this platform and make them aware of the key components required for construction and building materials in their houses.

The organisation is expecting a good response through this exhibition and is looking forward to organise more such events.
