LGBI Airport Deploys Security Automation Technologies; launches pharmacy.

Lokpriya  Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati has implemented the Security Automation Technologies System at the airport in collaboration with the IT system to boost the efficiency of airport operations. Two pharmacy outlets have also been opened in the airport premises for the passengers.

The objective of this programme is to ensure constant monitoring of processes that enhance efficiency and help management prevent various types of revenue leakages.

The control Centre set up for this purpose was inaugurated by Chief Airport Officer Utpal Baruah on 17 September. 2022. Baruah said that it will help manage operations, finance, security and commercial activities in a better way than ever before.

Implementation of the Automation Technology will result in reduction of human interference in many places and enhance the vigilance capability of the airport up to a great extent. Other key officials of the airport were also present in the event.

Additionally, to add more passenger amenities at the airport, LGBI Airport has launched two Apollo Pharmacy outlets at the departure and the arrival area of the terminal . Apollo Pharmacy will be a welcoming addition as it will be providing ranges of medicines and health care services for the air travellers.
