Chief Minister of Tripura along with PM Modi is working together on the LightHouse Project. Under this sophisticated initiative, economically disadvantaged families will be able to obtain a permanent home. Many residents in Agartala wish to build a house but are unable to do so due to financial constraints. Keeping them in mind, the government has come up with such a unique and modern initiative, said Urban Development Minister Santana Chakma at the Muktadhara Auditorium Hall today after inaugurating flat allotment under the Light House Project through a lottery mechanism. The Department of Urban Development was in charge of organising the event. The occasion was attended by Secretary of the Department Kiran Gitte, Director Tamal Majumdar, and other authorities.

According to the UD Minister, roughly a thousand dwellings are being built as part of the Light House Project. Houses will be provided in two phases to the beneficiaries. Those who earn up to 3 lakh rupees per year have been put into a separate category. Those who earn between 3 and 6 lakh rupees per year, on the other hand, have been placed in a separate group. This government has taken steps to help individuals become more self-sufficient in a variety of ways. The state government is working to make individuals financially self-sufficient in a variety of ways, not just through government jobs.

The state government has taken a number of steps to empower women, including a 33 percent job reservation for women. She stated that various SHGS and Skill Development training have been implemented to help women become self-sufficient. The current government's key priorities are Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, and a Drug-Free India and Tripura. She urged all parents to be watchful and aware in the fight against addiction so that Ek Tripura can become Shrestha Tripura.

Kiran Gitte, the department's secretary, emphasised the importance of the Light House Project's implementation. He stated that the entire project is the responsibility of the federal government. The land for its implementation has been provided by the state government. Each flat will cost 16 lakhs and 25,000 rupees, with the land costing around 30 lakh rupees. Beneficiaries, on the other hand, will only be required to pay a set amount. The government will cover the remaining costs. According to him, the flat allocation is carried out in a transparent way with video recording.

Flats will be allocated in two categories, with costs ranging from 5 lakh rupees to 7 lakh rupees. The payment will be made in two installments. Those who have already paid are receiving flats via a lottery method. Through the lottery system, it will be simple to obtain a flat number and bank loans. Prior to this, 150 people were given flats through a lottery method as part of the Light House Project.
