Manipur University to host Youth20 Summit in May

Imphal: Manipur University to host the Youth20 (Y20) summit between May 5 and 6, 2023 which will include delegates from the G20 countries and focus on a range of domestic and global problems affecting young people.

Professor N Lokendra, vice chancellor of Manipur University, on Monday during the inaugural event of the six-day Manipur University Week announced the details of the event.

The Youth20 (Y20) summit is being organised by the Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU).

Mr Lokendra said that in addition to domestic and international scholars, the conference will also be attended by youth-focused policy strategists and implementers.

As part of the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" program, 60 students and teachers from Punjab will tour the university on March 24, 2023, and will spend nearly six days exploring Manipur, according to Mr Lokendra.

The delegates will tour different locations throughout the state during their stay and engage with a number of notable figures, he added.
