Markets on gaining spree; vaults 600 points in initial trade

Guwahati: The benchmark indexes for the Indian equities market saw a significant rise in early trade as the market maintained its winning run.

The Nifty increased by 207.90 points or 1.23 percent to reach 17137.50, and the Sensex increased by 667.97 points or 1.17 percent to reach 57525.76.

Approximately 2092 shares are up, 667 are down, and 111 are unchanged.

Better developments in the Asian market encouraged investors.

Due to the fact that Friday is the final trading day of the session, investors will book a lot of profits, maintaining the market's momentum.
In the initial transaction, Dr Reddy was the loser while Tata Steel was the greatest winner. Results for the first quarter were released by both businesses.
