Micro Finance scheme cheques distributed among beneficiaries at Amingaon

Guwahati: Finance Minister Ajanta Neog and Industries and Commerce Minister and Guardian Minister of Kamrup district Chandra Mohan Patowary along with other dignitaries ceremonially distributed cheques to beneficiaries under the Assam Micro-Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS) 2021, at a programme held at Amingaon.

Altogether 5,000 beneficiaries received their cheques at the event. According to a statement, the rest of the beneficiaries of the district will get their cheques in their respective blocks.

Addressing the meeting, nary Minister Neog appealed to all beneficiaries to utilise the incentive for productive purposes.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Patowary thanked Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for initiating the initiative in respect of women's empowerment.

Kamrup DC Kailash Karthik N delivered the welcome address at the event, while DDC Norshing Bey delivered the vote of thanks.

MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, MLAS Bhabesh Kalita, Di ganta Kalita, Suman Haripriya, Nandita Das, Rekibuddin Ahmed and He manga Thakuria were also present at the event.
