Microsoft to set up its 4th largest data centre; investment around Rs. 15,000 cr

Hyderabad: Tech giant Microsoft will set up its largest and fourth data centre in India here with an investment outlay of over Rs 15,000 crore over a period of 15 years.

"I am very happy to say today that Hydera bad will be the destination for Microsoft's larg est data centre investment in India with an investment of over Rs 15,000 crore over a period of 15 years. This will be one of the largest FDIs that Telangana has attracted," Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT.

Rama Rao on Monday said. Microsoft said it expects to make the dat centre at Hyderabad to be operational by 202 and it comes in addition to the existing three facilities located in Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai

It will offer the entire Microsoft portfolio across the cloud, data solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), productivity tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) with advanced data security, for enterprises, startups, developers, education, and government institutions. - PTI
