Guwahati: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has launched the 'One Station One Product scheme across its five divisions as part of the Government of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat policy.

"Initially, the scheme is being implemented at five stations under NFR. The main objective of the concept is to make each railway station a promotional hub and a destination for local products. Under the scheme, a stall featuring local Assamese gamosa has been set up at the Guwahati railway station, under the Lumding division to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of Assam," NFR Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Sabyasachi De said in a statement.

De added that other local products are likewise being promoted at Alipurduar Junction station under the Alipurduar division, Darjeeling station under the Katihar division, Naharlagun station under the Rangiya division, and at New Tinsukia station under the Tinsukia division.

The concept of the 'One Station One Product policy was announced earlier this year in the Union budget…
