Nifty records highest for three days in a row

On Monday, the NSE Benchmark, Nifty 50 sets an all-time high record for three days in a row.

The Nifty 50 jumped higher than the 171 points to cross an all-time high of 15,606 and the Sensex having a 30% share, rose as much as 590 points.

Record closed high of 15,583 as the Nifty 50 index advanced by 147 points or 0.95 percent.

Sensex grew up to 515 points and closed at 51,937 points.

GDP data was to be announced by 5:30 pm.

The economic growth analyzed by economists was on the rise for the fourth quarter (January-March) of FY20 but soon gloomed in despair after the second wave of Covid-19 Pandemic hits the nation massively in April this year, 2021.

Gainers of Sensex were Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ITC, Bharti Airtel, and Axis Bank.

Seven sector gauges compiled by NSE ended higher with a 2 percent gain led by Nifty Metal Index.

Other sectors such as Nifty Bank, Financial Services, FMCG, Private Bank, and Realty Index raised by 1 percent.

Even the Nifty Midcap and Smallcap 100 Index had a gain of 0.3 % and 0.2 % respectively.

The top Nifty gainer was JSW Steel has a stock rise of 3.25% and closed at Rs. 712.  A gain of 1.5-3 percent is shown by ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, and NTPC. Overall, the market breadth was positive, as 1,744  shares ended highest.
