Northeast Express derails near Patna, relief train to help

Guwahati: Hundreds of passengers travelling to Northeast have been stranded after the Guwahati-bound Northeast Express (12506) derailed in Bihar late on Wednesday night.

The mishap took place near Raghunathpur in Buxar district around 10pm.

Northeast Express is a popular train for students and people living in Delhi.

NFR  has sent a special train to pick up stranded passengers. Relief trains have reached site. Passengers have been taken out from the coaches, railway sources said. The special train has been planned to move the stranded passengers up to their destinations till Kamakhya. The train was scheduled to leave Danapur near Patna at 5am today .
