NSIC releases book on quality management

Guwahati: Quality management is crucial for brand building and success. A new book looks into the subject and extensively studies the various aspects of this crucial cog in the business cycle. 


Total Quality Management -- authored by Chief Manager of National Small Industries Corporation Palash Bhowmick and co-authored by Dr Abhijit Chakraborty, Vice Principal (Professor) and HOD of ME Dept of GIMT, Krishnanagar, West Bengal -- was released on August 1 at NSIC office in Guwahati.
The book endeavours to act as a guide for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their productivity and quality by adopting certain techniques.

Published by Navi Publishers, this book, according to Bhowmick will be helpful for researchers and people who are appearing in exams. 
“It is actually is a syllabi cum book. This kind of book is very rare for total quality management students,”, said Bhowmick. 

He confirmed the learning can be applicable in all kinds of industries be it small, large, manufacturing, or service industries. “Even small and medium-sized offices can use it”,  he said.

Bhowmick informed that the book is a product of theoretical research and his practical experience of 21 years.

Discussing on the target group, he said that the students and lecturers and professors of TQM. But, this can be read by entrepreneurs, factory owners, service industry owners so that they get an understanding on how to manage quality. 

He assures that the quality of goods has a huge effect on customer satisfaction. 

Priced at Rs. 299 offline and Rs. 200 for the soft copy, the book will be released in Assam and all India markets.
