OIL to help in rehabilitation of Tinsukia Municipality Legacy Waste

Oil India Rural Development Society signs MoU with Tinsukia for Rehabilitation of Tinsukia Municipality Legacy Waste

Duliajan: Crude Oil Major Oil India Limited's CSR implementation wing Oil India Rural Development Society (OIRDS) and District Administration, Tinsukia collaborated on the rehabilitation of Tinsukia Municipality Legacy Waste as part of its CSR initiative.

OIRDS and Tinsukia District Administration signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with this objective on January 25. 

The MoU was signed between Narsing Pawar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia, and Bhairab Bhuyan, President, OIRDS in presence of Prasanta Borkakoty, Resident Chief Executive, OIL, Polash Gogoi, CGM (HR & Admin), Arunjyoti Baruah, CGM-HR Field Admin, OIL, Debashis Bora, GM-Public Affairs, OIL, Sarfraz Haque, ADC Tinsukia, Monjit Doley, Executive Officer, Tinsukia Municipality, Ward Commissioners of Tinsukia Municipality along with other officials from Tinsukia District Administration, Oil India Ltd, OIRDS and Media.

Under this project, the legacy waste of Tinsukia Municipality will be treated, processed, and rehabilitated through a process of Bio-Mining. The project will immensely benefit in upliftment of the environmental, aesthetic, and social parameters of entire area.
