PMCs Assign By Assam Govt. for 100 Cr Projects

Projects above 100 crores will have now Project Consultants mandatorily as said by Assam Government.

Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a meeting with the senior officials of PWD and Health Department evaluated several infrastructure projects and directed to fast track the implementation process.

While the implementation process by PWD goes on within the time frame, Assam CM urged the construction of Dhubri, Nagaon, Nalbari, and Tinsukia medical colleges.
Land allotment issues are asked to be handled in Charaideo, Biswanath, and the second medical college of Guwahati. And architect engagement is also needed to be addressed for Morigaon and Dhemaji Medical College within a month.

Beautification Project implemented for the development of "Batadrava Than" worth Rs.188 crore, as Cultural & Tourism Destination was analyzed by CM in a meeting with officials of Public Works Department. It was directed for the speedy completion with the time limit and an additional Deputy Commissioner will be assigned for this project.

Stock-based status was taken by the CM in a meeting with Social Welfare Department st Janata Bhawan and directed the officials to attain the target of providing nutritious food to children under 0-6 category till 300 days within a year.
Strict instructions were delivered by Assam CM to break the hold of unscrupulous contractors, clean the department image and maintain transparent operation.

Rice will be purchased from FCI instead of NGOs to end the monopoly of suppliers.

No consideration will be shown concerning the failure of transfer of all CDPOs with a 3-year term completed. While no interference will be allowed in ensuring the safety of children's nutrition and healthy development.

Also, CM plans to rebuild Anganwadi Centres in the state in consultation with PWD in a scientific and demonstrative way for a healthy child environment.
