Projects worth Rs 85 crore unveiled in Meghalaya under 'Swadesh Darshan'

Shillong: The Prime Minister on March 7 dedicated three projects worth Rs 85 crore for the state of Meghalaya under the Swadesh Darshan scheme: the Mawmluh Exponential Centre with an outlay of Rs 32 crore and Sohra waterfall trails estimated to cost Rs 27 crore.

Addressing a gathering, Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh informed that PM Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated many projects in the country and three projects are being developed in Meghalaya: namely The Krangsuri Falls, The Mawmluh Experiential Centre, and the Sohra Waterfalls trails.

He further informed that the Krangsuri project has been completed and the government will soon begin work on the rest of the projects. "The tourism department is looking forward to working hand in hand with all the stakeholders for the smooth running of the project", Lyngdoh said.
