Ration card holders to get benefits Assam’s ‘Orunodoi ‘scheme: CM

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Thursday that ration cards will be given to every household in the state, and the cardholders will be eligible for benefits under the ‘Orunodoi’ scheme.

The Chief Minister stated, "We will ensure ration cards reach every household. Under the Orunodoi plan, those with ration cards will be eligible to receive monetary benefits." The Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme 2023, launched by the Government of Assam, is a universal basic income for women households and specially-abled persons. 

Over 19 lakh beneficiaries have been selected across 35 districts under the scheme. The beneficiaries will receive Rs 830 to Rs 1000 per month for health and nutrition, including Rs 400 for medicines, Rs 200 for pulses, Rs 80 for sugar, and Rs 150 for vegetables and fruits. 

To check the beneficiary status, applicants must visit the Orunodoi.assam.gov.in website. The list will be updated on the Orunodoi.assam.gov.in website.
