Guwahati: Presenting an invaluable opportunity to aspiring professionals of today, where ideas can be exchanged on various aspects of HR management, Royal Global University have brought out the most sought after platform amongst the academic fraternity of this region. 

Royal Global University's Royal Centre for Corporate Relations, in collaboration with the Royal School of Business, hosted a landmark HR Conclave that brought together the academic community and industry experts. 

This event served as a platform for HR leaders and academia to exchange and explore ideas and discuss  talent acquisition, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance management, leadership development, and HR technology. 

Two pivotal discussions took center stage during the conclave: 'Skills of Future: Preparing Gen Z for the Times Ahead' and 'Challenges in Future Hiring' and 'Challenges in Retention.'

As the keynote speaker for the day, Mr. Varinder Singh, General Manager – HR for India Business at Fortum India, emphasized the significance of building foundational basics, the courage to innovate, the contributions of freshers in industry campaigns, sustainability, data management, and making the most of technical knowledge and hiring trends. He encapsulated his wisdom with the message that "the challenge of the world is not employment but employability, i.e., an employee's ability."

The conclave also featured a distinguished lineup of industry luminaries including Mr. Ramit Bedi, Lead Campus Recruitments at Wipro; Mr. Avik Chakraborty, Eastern Zone Campus Relationship Lead at Cognizant; Mr. Nikheel Sutrawe, Senior Manager, University Relations at Schneider Electric India; Ms. Asha Sharma, Senior Manager - HR Strategy at Knorr Bremse; Dr. Debangshu Chakraborty, DGM – HR and Head – Succession Management, Young Talent Management, L&D, and OD at Aditya Birla Group; Ms. Debalina Roy, General Manager – HR at Vodafone; Mr. Rahul Dugar, HR at LoadShare Networks Pvt. Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Royal Global University, emphasized the university's holistic approach to education, focusing not only on Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.) but also on Emotional Quotient (E.Q.) and Social Quotient (S.Q.) development. He highlighted credit courses like Behavioral Sciences and Communicative English, designed to make students industry-ready alongside their academic programs. Prof. Singh encouraged collaboration between industry leaders and academia to create a balance that benefits both.

Dr. A.K. Pansari, Chancellor of Royal Global University, thrusted on the importance of discipline, a positive attitude, hands-on experience, humility, patience, hard work, and cultural values.

The grand HR Conclave was attended by Ankur Pansari, Executive Vice President; Prof. (Dr.) Alak Kumar Buragohain, Chairperson-Academics; Prof. (Dr.) Rohit Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Diganta Munshi, Registrar, and other senior officials, deans, professors, and faculty members.
