Shah lays foundation for 11 devp projects worth Rs 2,415 cr in Mizoram

Aizawl: Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently laid the foundation stone for 11 key development projects worth Rs 2,415 crore in Mizoram.

The projects included construction of Assam Rifles Battalion Headquarters Complex Zokhawsang worth Rs 163 crore and Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) under Smart City Ltd (ASCL) worth Rs 119.2 crore, construction of Cooperative Warehouse at Bairabi worth Rs. 2.74 crore and Impounding Dam and Development of Recreation Centre at Keilungliah, Champhai worth Rs. 19.88 crore.

Shah also inaugurated the construction of Zorinpui – Longmasu NH-502A worth Rs 781.85 crore, Aizawl Bypass (Package-1), NH-6 worth Rs 329.70 crore, Aizawl Bypass (Package-3), NH-6 worth Rs 720.72 crore, and Laldenga Centre worth Rs 193 crore. Upgradation and improvement of the road from West Phaileng to Marpara worth Rs 71 crore and construction of Warehouse/Commercial Centre at Aizawl worth Rs. 2.70 crore are also on the list of the inaugurated projects.

The development projects are expected to provide a major boost to the state’s infrastructure.
