About Shristinagar Guwahati:

A project spread over 250 acres, the concept of Shristinagar Guwahati was arrived at by renowned Canadian design and consulting firm "Stantec". The master planners have ensured that all construction is integrated in the natural landscape and topography and is in sync with local sensibilities. This detailed planning will ensure that problems like flooding and erosion which the city of Guwahati is currently facing will not be augmented by this project.

The Project will have ground coverage of only 33% and balance 67% is open and green. In a city like Guwahati where the density of population is very high, the township will act as the "Lungs of the City" due to the vast open green spaces being developed.

It will cater to the housing needs of all the sections of the society i.e. EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Senior Citizen homes etc and will comprise more than 6000 units. Social infrastructure like School, Hospital, Resort, Retail & Commercial will also be developed in phases The project will generate significant amount of revenue for the govt. exchequer and also create employment for local people during construction and for maintenance in the township. Also once various commercial & institutional operations begin, they will provide employment to large sections of society. The township will be completed in phases over the next 15 years.

The project has received all the required approvals and clearances from various competent authorities. In fact it has taken the company 5-6 years to get these approvals from central and state government and clarify all doubts the departments may have about the project. Infrastructure construction has also commenced.
