Under RKVY Scheme of Assam Agriculture Dept. seeds were distributed in Bezera

Baihata Chariali: With an aim to optimize production of bord paddy in 100 hectares of agricultural land and rabi crop in 15 villages, under Bezera agriculture development centre in Kamrup district, the centre on Thursday distributed 21 quintals of seed among the beneficiary farmers of the area free of cost.

The seed distribution programme was organized under the RKVY scheme 2021 2022 of the State's Agriculture Department. The seeds distributed in the programme were of HYF variety and hybrid species.

The programme was inaugurated by Tribeni Dutta, agriculture development officer of Bezera where 3.5 quintals of maize seed, 4 quintals of mustard seed (RH 04-06 variety) 8 quintals of boro paddy seed (DRR 44 variety), and 5 quintals of pea seed (Herit IPF 16 13 variety) were distributed.

Bezera agriculture development centre sources said that the concerned agriculture extension assistants under Agdala, Majgaon, Narara, North and South Mandakata. Panara, Dagaon, Khehenipara, Bezera, and Singarara area will distribute the remaining seeds among the beneficiaries later on. In the seed distribution programme, assistant agriculture inspector And Hacaa and Jastuchal Islam president of Marchakata gaon panchayat, was present, among others.
