Use of E-services gets an enhancement in Nagaland

Kohima: A meeting was conducted between the Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS and Department of Home, IT&C, and Commissioner, Nagaland regarding the e-services at the Chief Secretary's Conference Hall, Kohima on 28 July.

An increase in the use of online services has been noted and appraised during the meeting.

Over 40,000 Applications have been processed since 2018 in NSPC, 41,680 applications were received for the online scholarship, and for online ILP tourists, 8,971 applications and 5,509 ILPs were issued since the month of November 2019.

According to a report provided by DIPR, there has been an enhancement in the existing online ILP for tourists. Online ILP is a model to enable renewable of ILP through online mode which would be added.

Moreover, online service delivery shall be improved by enabling online applications for Scheduled Tribe and Backward Tribe Certificates through the E-district Portal soon.

Also during the meeting, the pilot implementation of the E-office in the Civil Secretariat was discussed.
