BNI Brahmaputra chapter is organizing a two-day Mega Business Exhibition – Vyapaar 2.0 on the 10th and 11th of September, 2022 in Guwahti for businesses to collaborate, connect with each other and generate new business for and from each other. 

Business Northeast catches up with Vishal Kumar More, President of BNI Brahmaputra to understand more about Vyapaar 2.0.

1. Firstly tell us about BNI and how it helps to organize businesses

More: BNI is the most successful business referral organisation, of its type, in the entire world. There are currently over 10,809 chapters in Operation in 76 countries with over 2,92,374 members.

In BNI Guwahati, we currently have 7 chapters with over 397 members. The members work as sales forces for each other and help promote the business of their fellow members, generating referrals, hence the new business.

In Assam, BNI currently has its presence in Guwahati, Jorhat and Tinsukia and there are plans to spread further to other districts.

2. How does the BNI benefit its members?
   More: The core philosophy of BNI is Giver’s Gain, that is, if you help others to win business, they will want to help you win business. The members of the organisation stick to this core value and generate more and more business for each other.

Apart from this, members of BNI meet every week for a formal meeting, in a disciplined manner, which results in lots of networking, relationship building and bonding for all.

3. Tell us about Vyapaar 1.0. Since you are organizing a second edition, the first must have been a success. What was the outcome or how did it help the businesses?
   More: Vyapaar 1.0 was a one-day event organised on 2nd February 2022, at Hotel Vishwaratna. It was the first business exhibition, organised by the BNI Guwahati region. Vyapaar 1.0 was a benchmark event for us and it led to the foundation for Vyapaar 2.0, which promises to be a grand and mega event, in multiple ways.

Vyapaar 1.0 was graced by around 3000 visitors and lots of new business with the collaboration of the members.

4. Is Vyapaar for everyone or is it a B2B event? Is it specifically for BNI members?

More: Vyapaar 2.0 is for everyone. Over 50 exhibitors from unique categories like Mutual Fund, Life Insurance, Real Estate, Home Appliances, computers and Electronics, etc will be exhibiting their products and services.

Vyapaar 2.0 promises to have something for everyone.

5. What is your expectation from Vyapaar 2.0?

More: We are expecting to have over 5000 visitors at the event, resulting in new business and collaboration for both the exhibitors and visitors. We have a dedicated space for 121 sessions, where visitors and exhibitors can understand in detail their businesses.

We have also collaborated with Marwari Yuva Manch (Guwahati City Branches) for a blood donation camp on 11th September 2022. Apart, from this, we are also organising a drawing competition and game zone for kids, live sketch artists, magic shows, lucky draws etc. We request everyone to please grace the event with their presence and make the event a successful one.
