Guwahati: Zonal-level workshop on RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme held in Silchar

As part of Good Governance Week, a zonal-level workshop for the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana- Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR) Scheme was held on Thursday at the District Fishery Development Office on campus in Silchar.

A Hussain, Deputy CEO of Cachar Zilla Parishad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Yuvaraj Borthakur, and other officials attended the workshop.

A total of 100 farmers from different districts in Cachar, Hailakandi, and Karimganj took part in the workshop programme.

Speaking at the event, Additional Deputy Commissioner Yuvaraj Borthakur emphasised the need of using various cultural methods in order to boost fish output in the region.

On the occasion, the dignitaries in attendance also made pertinent speeches. According to a press release, the technical section specialists spoke extensively about paddy-cum-fish farming, modern fish production technology, etc.
