‘AI and Digital Transformation’ course in Guwahati. Here’s how you can apply

Guwahati: Twenty-five entrepreneurs from the region will be trained in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation at a 5-day Residential-Advanced Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (A-ESDP) to be organised by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, North East Regional Office. The event will take place  at the human resource development center, Gauhati University from December 11 to December 16.

The course will be held under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme A- ESDP/MDP programme of ESDP Scheme of ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government. Of India.

“This course is designed to introduce small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the respective and budding entrepreneurs to the practical applications of generative AI, with a special focus on how SMEs can leverage this technology for the smooth functioning of the organization, various document generation and other business processes” said an official release.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), NGO personnel, entrepreneurs, and start-up firms can apply before December 8 by reaching out to rerog@ediindia.org.

The workshop is being held amid a push by the Centre to impart the benefits of AI to a greater section of the population. The central government is putting finishing touches on Bhashini, an AI language translation system that seeks to break the barrier between the Indian tongues by using available technology. By creating large language models, the Narendra Modi-led government seeks to break barriers to education and entrepreneurship.

During the ‘G20 Digital Economy’ meeting held in August, Modi said ‘Bhashini’ would support digital inclusion in all the diverse languages of India. As per the Prime Minister, India serves as an “excellent testing ground” for solutions and a “successful solution” in India can readily be implemented globally.
