Bongaigoan: Assam Book Fair, 2023 organises the last phase of book fair in Bongaigaon

The Bongaigaon Book Fair began on March 13 and will end on March 19.

Bongaigaon people showed immense interest and enthusiasm for the book fair.

The Book Fair was inaugurated by Education Minister for Assam, Ranoj Pegu in presence of Publication Board Assam officials, and renowned writers, columnists like Tilottama Mazumdar, Samudra Chaliha.

Writer Tilottama Mazumdar speaking to Business-Northeast said that the book fair at Bongaigaon have met her expectations.

One of the publishers at Bongaigaon Book Fair told Business-Northeast that the first day of the book fair although didn't had much crowd but sales did start on a good note. He said that, he is expecting a greater crowd in the coming days of the book fair.

One of the customers at the fair told Business-Northeast that with the book fair at bongaigaon will make their lives easier. They don't have to travel to Guwahati all the way to get their notebooks.

Pramod Kalita, Secretary, Publication Board Assam informs that the first day of Bongaigaon Book Fair have seen a alot of support from the local people. And he hope this last phase to be a success.

Bongaigaon Book Fair is organised by Publication Board Assam in support with All Assam Book Publishers and Sellers Association
