Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday met Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, in New Delhi to measured key issues related to the power sector and urban development in the State.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sarma emphasised the need to strengthen Assam’s energy infrastructure and discussed steps to ensure resource capability to support the growing demand.
Discussions also focused on accelerating the development of future power plants and streamlining urban development projects to boost the pace of infrastructure growth in Assam.
The meeting was attended by Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister K.K. Dwivedi, and Assam Bhawan Resident Commissioner Kavitha Padmanabhan.

Sharing details of the meeting on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Dr. Sarma posted:
