TOKYO: On Thursday, Toyota reported that its global production and sales increased for the fourth straight month in April, driven by robust demand for hybrid cars and a surge in U.S. purchases due to President Donald Trump's import tariffs. The largest automaker in the world reported a 10 per cent year-on-year rise in global sales for April, totalling 876,864 vehicles, while U.S. sales also rose by the same percentage, driven by robust demand, including rush purchases due to the tariffs, as stated by Toyota.
