Business compliance services workshop in Dimapur held under Nagaland Startup Policy; aimed at adding business sense in emerging entrepreneurs

Kohima: The Department of Industries and Commerce and YouthNet under Nagaland state Startup Policy 2019 organised the state level business compliance services workshop in Dimapur and Kohima on March 14 and 15 respectively. 

The workshops deliberated in on Regulatory and Legal Compliance; Financial Services Compliance; Corporate Record; and Venture Capital. It aimed to aid value to the business sense of one and all, especially the emerging Naga entrepreneurs of the state who require the guidance and path-breaking ideas to lead their way through the markets on this day, stated a press release.

In Dimapur, the workshop was held at YouthNet Dimapur Office. Welcome address was delivered by Nuneseno Chase, Director, YouthNet. The Special Guest Rarenbenla, Functional Manager, District Industries Centre, Dimapur shared about the importance of entrepreneurship in our local market economies which act as the wheels of the local economic growth which stimulate new employment and other opportunities. Resource person K Jianthailung, Branch Manager, NEDFi, and Sentimenla Changkija, Branch Head, North East Small Finance Bank Ltd spoke on the technical aspect of business compliance.

In Kohima, the workshop was held at YouthNet Kohima Office. Razouvikhol Luho, Manager, YouthNet Business Development and Corporate Communications, and Hekani Jakhalu, Chair & Founder, YouthNet delivered the welcome address. 

Special Guest Keneirienuo K Theunuo, Assistant Director, Department of Industries and Commerce who is also the nodal officer for Startup Nagaland deliberated on the importance of compliance in a business where local entrepreneurs’ failures in taking steps to meet compliance obligations and fulfillment usually results in missed opportunities. Understanding and meeting the requirements will help Naga entrepreneurs take advantage of any benefits ahead, Theunuo said. 

Resource persons, Meriyani Patton, Asst. Branch Head, North East Small Finance Bank Ltd, and Yapang, Senior Coordinator, Haqdarshak shared on the technical aspect of business compliance.
