Lemon Tree signs for a new hotel in Assam

Guwahati: Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the opening of their newest property, Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, in Chirang, Assam. Bharati Brahma will oversee the property, which will be handled by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a subsidiary and management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

This Greenfield project is scheduled to begin construction in June 2026.

This hotel, located in Kajalgaon Town, Chapaguri II, will include 40 well-appointed rooms, as well as a multi-cuisine restaurant and a bar. There will also be a meeting room and a fitness centre.

The state has enormous economic and tourist potential because it is a popular destination for both business and leisure travellers. Manas National Park, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, is located in Chirang, a new district in Assam. It is known for its rare and endangered indigenous creatures, such the Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur, and pygmy hog, and is located in the Himalayan foothills. Borjhar Airport in Guwahati is the nearest airport, and the district is connected by many railway stations.

Lemon Tree Hotels (LTH) is India's largest chain in the mid-priced hotels sector and third largest overall, as of June 30, 2017, according to the Horwath Report. This award winning Indian hotel chain opened its first hotel with 49 rooms in May 2004 and operates 87 hotels in 54 destinations with ~8,500 rooms and over 8,000 employees.
