Barpeta Assam: An innovative educational project ‘Utkarsh’ has been launched jointly in a bid by Samagra Siksha Abhijan Barpeta and the Barpeta District Administration to help the students during the Covid Pandemic.
Tej Prasad Bhushal, Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta formally launched the innovative education project ‘Utkarsh’ on 16 July 2021, at a function in the Institute of Education and Training, Howli.
During the inauguration, Bhushan stated that it’s the responsibility of the education department to help and support the students in the hour of need. Also the Additional Deputy Commissioner I/C of education, Lakhimi Dutta that under this Utkarsh Project, lesson and study materials will be provided to only those students not having access to the smartphones.
Moreover, the project will be implemented in all the blocks and clusters and has sought all the help and cooperation from the stakeholders for the successful implementation.
The launch programme was attended by District Elementary Education Officer-cum Inspector of Schools, Barpeta, Manoranjan Kakati, faculty members of DIET, Block Elementary Education Officers, and resource persons of Samagra Siksha and was conducted by Ranjan Das, District Programme officer of Samagra Siksha, Barpeta.
