Guwahati: In order to produce EBMS (ethanol blend motor spirit) on a sustained basis, the first ethanol rake of 3200 KL from Panipat Refinery was unloaded at the Guwahati Refinery on April 26, according to a press release.

The occasion was inaugurated by SP Singh, Executive Director & Refinery Head, Guwahati Refinery in the presence of senior officials of Guwahati Refinery, IOAOD State Office, and representatives from the Operations & Maintenance team of Guwahati Refinery.

The receipt of the ethanol will help Guwahati Refinery receive higher quantities of ethanol at one go, thus reducing the handling of tank trucks, saving time, manpower and meeting EBMS requirements on a sustained basis
