Dergaon: Sanction letters of the loan under various government schemes worth Rs 7.96 crore were disbursed among 477 beneficiaries and 72 SHGS at a programme held at the DRDA conference hall here on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, Golaghat Deputy Commissioner Mrigesh Narayan Baruah urged all the beneficiaries to repay the loan from the profit of the business for which the loan has been sanctioned.

The DC also urged the self-help groups (SHGs) to get their Aadhaar cards made and to open bank accounts for different government schemes.

The programme was organised by the District Lead Bank office in association with the district administration. The meeting was moderated by the district lead bank manager Sajib Kumar Bora and attended by district development commissioner (DDC) Orpah Baglary, CEO of Zilla Parishad Dhiraj Das along with key officials of different government departments.
