Since the establishment of the makeshift site, ILPs may now be issued online by both Labour Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, he continued,  ILP applications may be submitted online at www.manipurilponline.mn.gov.in by people of other states.

Biren informed that the duration of Temporary Permits, Regular Permits, and Labor Permits are respectively 30 days, 3 months, and 1 year. The permission may be downloaded from the portal, he said . However, most people who come from outside the State are labourers,  the deputy commissioner had the power to grant labour permits.

He also mentioned that ILP application could also be downloaded via the Google Play Store. The Chief Minister further said that the permit now contains a bar code that can be scanned to reveal the owner's identification. He noted that this approach allows for the monitoring of ILP fraud and dishonesty. He proceeded by saying that a facial identification system will also be put into place shortly.
